‘The Lost Horse’ exhibition by lone hoof in the snug

10TH NOVEMBER - 4TH JANUARY

Lone Hoof is a Bristol-based artist working in charcoal. Each piece begins with a title and a tangle of scribbles — reduced and removed until a cast of blank-faced folk in hats and scarves emerges.

Many wander a snowy landscape (Winter Egg Rides), others are entirely self-absorbed (Nunfluencers), but what they all have in common is a black and white world coming to terms with an encroaching modernity.

Several of these pieces are taken from a forthcoming illustrated project, Have you seen my horse?

The horse in question has still to be found. Any sightings gratefully received.
