tobacco factory
Today, Tobacco Factory is a multi-purpose building that houses a lively Cafe Bar, Mark’s Bakery, Outdoor Terrace, The Loft space, The Snug, The Studio room and Sunday Market, as well as meeting spaces, offices for creative businesses and a performing arts school. The building is also home to Tobacco Factory Theatres – one of the most exciting performance venues in the country.

The Snug
The cosy Snug is tucked within our Cafe Bar and offers a warm and welcoming spot to relax and unwind. Full of character and charm, it's the perfect space for intimate gatherings, drinks or a quiet escape.
tent & TERRACE
Our tent and terrace is a buzzing, outdoor extension of our Cafe Bar. Framed by our colourful Yard and year-long street art display, join us for year-round street food events, markets, DJs and more.

Mark’s bakery
Mark's Bakery sits within the Tobacco Factory, serving our community delicious fresh lunches, artisanal bakes, local gifts, fresh farm produce and more.
the loft
An oasis of light and calm on the third floor of Tobacco Factory. A bright, industrial space with stunning views over South Bristol, it is ideal for celebrations, exhibitions, workshops and events... or simply space to think.
sunday market
Our bustling Sunday Market
(10am-2.30pm) is the perfect spot to meet with friends, relax with family and discover exceptional food, crafts and produce, made and grown in the local area.
the studio
A versatile studio space on the third floor of Tobacco Factory. It is a bright, creative setting for workshops, meetings and events that can be adapted to suit countless occasions.
the theatre
Providing a welcoming home for creative adventures and human connection, for incredible theatre and opportunities to learn and exchange ideas. Although run entirely independently to the Tobacco Factory Cafe Bar, it is located on the floor above in the same building.

Please be aware we can only hold table bookings for maximum of 15 minutes after booking time. If we’re very busy and are unable to get hold of you we may give away your table sooner than this.
Located on Southville’s bustling North Street, our Cafe Bar is a hub for great food, drink, music and art. Converted from a historic factory once at the heart of Bristol’s industrial past, our bright, contemporary and welcoming space is a unique spot to eat and relax with family and friends.
ACCESSIBILITY
The Cafe Bar is fully wheelchair accessible from the front and rear of the building. Disabled toilets can be found on all floors.
OUTDOOR AREAS
Our Yard is a popular suntrap in warmer months – perfect for long summer evenings. When the sun isn’t shining we still have you covered; our stretch tent keeps you snug all year round.
FAMILIES AND CHILDREN
The Cafe Bar is a great place for families to be together and children are welcome in the Cafe Bar (with the exception of the stage area and Snug) until 9pm. High chairs and baby changing facilities are available. Check out our kids menu.
